I replaced the 90K mile 302 2-barrel when the frustration of stalling in precarious situations and overall low power overcame the reluctance of my wallet.

The engine transplant is a 30K mile 1992 Mustang 5.0 SEFI motor, along with the AOD (overdrive automatic) transmission.  I did this swap 4-5 years ago when the swap wasn't as common, so the learning curve was experienced first hand in an ugly manner.  I did a rebuild/refresh on the engine and tranny (required a full tear down to replace the tailshaft for the adapter kit to the stock Dana20 transfer case).

The front axle is the 1977 Dana44 w/disc brakes.  It now has Warn heavy duty shafts, Warn premium hubs, 5.13 gears, and ARB air locker.

The rear axle is the big bearing 1977 9-inch.  It now has Currie 31spline axles, 5.13 rears, and Detroit locker.

The drive shafts are local company stock replacements, nothing exotic, but I did swap the lower yokes front to rear when the AOD went in (moved the tranny back 1.5")

The tires are Super Swamper TSL, 36x12.50 on 15x8 American aluminum rims.  Beadlocks coming soon.

More verbiage to come, here's an engine pic for now:
